Some new moderator has locked my topic because I have made the fault to use a word that we always used to say in those days:

So if you - just like I - have been in Nam in the '60s, please answer me here.
Yes, only in 1970 and as an advisor on the river boats.

My wife told me that it would have taken more than 7 rounds from them to do me in. I`m glad that she was right. Got a few medals and a couple of attaboys for making it out. No money, just attaboys. Oh well, I did`nt go there for the money anyway. $109 a month plus haz pay was nothing to get worked up about. I hope you made it thru without any injuries Jerry.
Ajax, I know that the river boats were no cake walk either.
Thanks---it wasn't either. As an old advisor I follow the advisory effort in Afghanistan and Iraq with great interest although very little comes out about it. The Special Forces seem to be the only guys who get down in the weeds with the locals. I truly hope something has been learned since Vietnam but I am afraid we are just going through the same drill again. When PXs open up there you will definitely know for sure we are screwing the pooch again.
7 rounds, donb? Holy Moses.....you have used up all your good luck. Please drive carefully.
